What is Thermage®?
The Thermage system is a non-invasive radiofrequency (RF) therapy that can help smooth, tighten and contour skin for an overall younger-looking appearance.
Thermage is a non-invasive RF (radiofrequency) procedure. During the procedure, RF energy will penetrate into deep layer of skin to stimulate collagen remodelling. Which result in skin tightening, reduce fine lines (wrinkles) and smoother skin with no surgery, no injection and little to no downtime.
Who may benefit from Thermage®?
Thermage will give best results for those with mild to moderate degree of skin laxity and no excessive sun damage to skin. Therefore, for those who want to reduce fine lines around the eye area, soften nasolabial lines, more define jaw, smoother skin of tummy, buttock, thigh (especially those who have lose weight or after pregnancy).
Is the procedure painful? How long is the procedure?
This procedure is not painful, so no topical numb cream or oral pain killer is required. You will feel warm sensation or some deep layer heat sensation during the procedure, but it is at a comfort level (you may inform doctor if you feel discomfort while the procedure is going on).
The whole procedure usually take about 45 to 60 mins to complete.
Post treatment care?
There are no specific post treatment care for this procedure. You may maintain your own skin care routine, and sunscreen protection.
When can I see the result? How frequent can I repeat Thermage®?
You will notice mild lifting of the skin immediately after THERMAGE. But the result of lifting and skin changes will improve as day goes by. The procedure may be repeated after 6 to 12 months.
